The Culture - A Farce in Two Acts, Hull Truck Theatre

Hull Truck Theatre’s hotly-anticipated new comedy inspired by Hull's City of Culture year takes audiences behind the scenes of what has been an astonishing 12 months for the city.

The Culture – A Farce in Two Acts by the award-winning playwright James Graham, a graduate of the University of Hull, is a humorous look at the inner workings of Hull 2017 as they get set to handover to the next City of Culture, Coventry 2021.

James Graham is renowned for his sharp and satirical scripts that have attracted sell-out audiences to shows in London's West End and around the country. He has spent the last few months visiting Hull, seeing events, and talking to people including chief executive Martin Green and the Hull 2017 team, volunteers, the council and partner organisations.

The play opens at Hull Truck Theatre on Friday 26 January and runs until Saturday 17 February 2018.

Tony Barker spoke to two Hull-born actors who appear in this play.
