Tale Spinners 2 - East Yorkshire and Barton

A creative writing festival, where authors read out their own work to a voting audience, returns in the East Riding this January.

Tale Spinners 2 is the brainchild of actors Neil King and Richard Avery of Beverley-based Other Lives Productions.

Taking in two new venues for 2018, the festival invited writers to submit stories of up to 2,000 words.

Tickets cost from £6 to £15, depending on the venue.

Julie Barker of Elloughton, East Yorkshire, was a finalist in 2017 and this year has had three stories selected. She told Billboard more about the competition and her stories.
