Many years of hard work by an East Yorkshire- based playwright come to fruition with the return of a musical about Jane Austen.
Optician Rob Winlow has long been fascinated by the story of the 19th century novelist, who wrote such works as Sense and Sensibility, Pride & Prejudice and Mansfield Park. His early research led to writing a one-hour musical which tried out at various venues.
Now a longer work which lasts 90 minutes, is on a national tour with York-based actress Edith Kirkman in the title role. It comes toEast Riding Theatrein Beverley on 26th and 27th January.
Rob has been talking about his work to Billboard TV's North Bank Correspondent, Tony Barker.
